Pro-Nox®
Patient-Led Pain and Anxiety Management for Bryn Mawr, Newtown Square, Main Line, and Beyond
Patients typically tolerate most skin rejuvenation treatments well, but some regimens produce a bit of discomfort. Certain people also struggle with anxiety related to any medical procedure—especially those that involve injections. This is why the Cirillo Institute introduced PRO-NOX® to the Philadelphia-area practice serving Bryn Mawr, Newtown Square, Main Line, and more. While traditional pain- and anxiety-management strategies are administered by a doctor or other medical professional, PRO-NOX® puts control in the patient's hand.
The device delivers a 50/50 mix of oxygen and nitrogen, inhaled at a patient's discretion. The system consists of a tube that can be brought to the mouth at will, allowing each person to determine when the calming gas is needed, and how much will be used. Once in the body, the mixture dulls senses and lowers anxiety. After a treatment is over and the device is shut off, the oxygen/nitrogen blend quickly leaves the body. Many people find this is ideal, as they can drive themselves to and from appointments without concern of grogginess or other impairment.
