Case 1 - before (top) and after (bottom) BOTOX to treat frown lines
Once BOTOX® relaxes and weakens a targeted muscle, that muscle cannot contract as well as it could before. Disuse of the muscles leads to a gradual lessening of undesirable lines. Furthermore, new creases are prevented from forming. Pictured is a 54-year-old female before and two weeks after BOTOX® treatment for glabella. BOTOX®, available in the Philadelphia area from the Cirillo Institute, usually takes effect within three to seven days. The results last on average from four to six months.
