Spider vein removal case 1, with the before photo above the after
This 57-year-old female patient is pictured before and three months after one treatment of sclerotherapy to her spider leg veins. Sclerotherapy is a proven treatment to improve the unwanted appearance of "spider veins," which are small superficial blood vessels that appear red or blue in the skin. It involves the injection of special solutions, which results in the veins’ disappearance over a two- to six-month period. Although we may use lasers to treat leg "spider veins," sclerotherapy vein treatment is still considered the gold standard and is used at the Philadelphia area’s Cirillo Institute.
