LED Treatment

A Rejuvenating Treatment for Acne, Sun Damage, and Facial Lines for Bryn Mawr, Newtown Square, Main Line, and Beyond

Short for light emitting diode, an LED emits light at specific wavelengths: Blue (415 nm), Red (633 nm), and Near Infrared (830 nm). These specific wave lengths are used to treat a wide range of dermatological conditions including acne, sun damage, and skin rejuvenation. By harnessing this energy, an LED treatment at our Bryn Mawr, Newtown Square, and Philadelphia-area practices can be directed to specific areas of skin to stimulate its healing and regenerative processes.

At Cirillo Cosmetic Dermatology Spa, the two most frequently used lights are Blue and Red. Each spectrum of light has specific effects:

  • Blue light destroys acne-causing bacteria
  • Red light reduces inflammation and stimulates collagen production
