What Is Daxxify™?
Like all injectable cosmetic neuromodulators, Daxxify™ is a prescription medication made to keep muscle-related neurotransmitters from releasing properly. If muscles don’t receive the neurotransmitters, they don’t contract as they usually would—even if a signal to contract is sent by the brain, such as when specific expressions are made.

What Can Daxxify™ Treat?
Daxxify™ is FDA approved for treating frown lines, but it can also be used off-label for a range of cosmetic applications, including forehead lines, crow’s feet, upper lip lines, and more.
**At least 50% of patients in clinical studies had no or minor frown lines 6 months after treatment. Between 3% and 5% of patients in clinical studies had no or minor frown lines 9 months after treatment. In other safety studies, between 5% and 17% of patients still had noticeable improvement 9 months later.
Daxxify™ Treatment Sessions
Daxxify™ is administered via tiny injections to specifically targeted muscles. Patients experience only minimal discomfort during the treatment session, which lasts minutes. No downtime is required after the injections, and the results will start to appear in the following days. Visual improvements can continue for up to a month, and the overall results can be expected to last from six to nine months total.
As the effects begin to wear off, patients can schedule a new injection appointment in order to best maintain their results. Two appointments will likely be needed to maintain a naturally smoother-looking forehead each year.
