Peels are repeated every two to six weeks until the desired effect is achieved. Between treatments, a customized topical regimen will be prescribed by our skin care therapists in order to continue to stimulate the skin at home.

Are There Different Types of Chemical Peels?

Lactic Acid Peel

Ideal for sensitive skin, Lactic Acid Peels use alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) derived from milk. It is a very mild chemical peel with little to no downtime. Lactic Acid Peels treat superficial damage, exfoliate skin, deep clean pores, and even out skin tone. This chemical peel will revitalize and brighten skin, keeping it young and healthy.

Lactic, and Mandelic Acid Peel for Acne

The antibacterial qualities of mandelic acid combined with the pore cleaning properties of lactic acid make this peel helpful in treating acne-prone skin. It is particularly effective on stubborn blackheads that are resistant to other treatments. One of the gentler chemical peels available, the Lactic, and Mandelic Acid Peel is safe for people with rosacea or darker skin tones and will not cause excessive irritation.

Illuminize Peel®

This innovative chemical peel utilizes newer generation alpha-hydroxy acids (mandelic acid and malic acid) in combination with phytic acid and commonly used peeling agents (salicylic acid and resorcinol). Suitable for mild skin imperfections, the Illuminize Peel® brightens the overall appearance of skin with low irritation.

iS Clinical Fire and Ice Peel

Also known as the “Red Carpet Facial,” the iS Clinical Fire and Ice Peel is designed to resurface the skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and deep clean blocked pores. This two-part chemical peel begins with an intensive resurfacing masque clinically formulated with glycolic, citric, lactic, and malic acids, vitamin B3, retinol, and potent antioxidants. A soothing “Ice” mask follows that cools and rejuvenates skin. This anti-aging chemical peel is suitable for all skin types.

PCA Peels

PCA SKIN professional treatments are scientifically formulated to gently stimulate, firm, and tighten skin. These clinically designed formulations help reduce the appearance of surface lines, smooth rough skin texture, and promote an even skin tone and clear complexions, without the downtime often associated with traditional chemical peels. Ingredients such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), trichloroacetic acid (TCA), salicylic acid (BHA), and resorcinol work to breakdown surface buildup, while ancillary ingredients, such as retinoids, antioxidants, and polyphenols, are incorporated into the formulas to flood the skin with additional benefits during treatment. These blends gently exfoliate dull damaged surface layers and reveal smooth, radiant, glowing skin.
