Dr. Mulholland has double board certification by the American Board of Dermatology as a dermatologist and as a dermatopathologist. We are so pleased to have him as a part of the Cirillo Institute family.
Do you have any hobbies?
In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends especially my wife and two daughters (14 months and 2 months). In the summer I enjoy trips to the Jersey Shore and spending time at the beach (under a big umbrella and with a lot of sunscreen of course :)) Other hobbies include cycling, swimming, cooking, photography and mastering new hobbies including 3D printing, aerial videography and photography to name just a few.
Favorite food?
I have a few! Pizza is one, which I love cooking in my wood fired pizza oven. It cooks in minutes at 700 degrees and is a fun meal to have when friends and family come over. Ribs, pulled pork and sushi are other favorites. And I’m admittedly a chocoholic.
What do you enjoy photographing?
I enjoy photographing nature, wildlife and the beauty of the outdoors but these days my favorite subjects are my wife and two young daughters.
Do you miss anything from your time in Irvine, CA?
I miss the weather! You can’t beat sunny and 70s every day, although I do like the change of seasons. I also miss the many authentic Mexican restaurants.
How would you describe your jobs to grade school kids?
I help people when they have a problem with their skin. I examine the body to make sure there aren’t any bad spots. Bad spots can be skin cancer which I remove. I remind children and adults to protect themselves from the sun.
What excites you about your work?
I work with a great group of people and am grateful to be a part of the Bryn Mawr Skin & Cancer team.
By far the most rewarding part of my job are the relationships I have developed with my many patients and helping patients get relief from various skin issues.
I enjoy performing dermatologic surgeries and the pathology part of my job which involves interpreting skin biopsies under a microscope.
