This can be caused by many risk factors such as prior abdominal surgery, pregnancy and obesity. Conservative treatment methds of core exercises and weightloss are recommended as first line treatment. When these methods fail, a patient may benefit from an abdominoplasty with plication of the abdominal muscles.

What is the difference between a breast augmentation and breast lift (mastopexy)?

A breast augmentation is a surgical procedure to increase the size and volume of the breasts, typically with breast implants. Whereas a breast lift is a surgical procedure that raises the breast tissue by removing excess skin. Some women desire to be both lifted and larger in size, therefore an augmentation mastopexy can be performed.

What is the downtime for a mommy makeover?

The downtime for a mommy makeover is dependent on the surgical procedures the patient opts for. Typically, the downtime for abdominal and breast surgery is around 2 weeks with the resumption of full activities around the 8-12 week mark.
