Soften Fine Lines and Deeper Wrinkles in the Bryn Mawr, Newtown Square, and Philadelphia Areas
Belotero® is a hyaluronic acid based gel filler that is used for smoothing the surface of the skin to minimize the appearance of wrinkles around the mouth, soften hollows under the eyes, and augment lips in a subtle way. The best way of ensuring that your treatment is safe, and that you get the most satisfying cosmetic results possible, is to consult an experienced injector. Our highly trained injectors are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care. Each patient has different cosmetic goals and concerns, so we'll help you determine if Belotero® from our Bryn Mawr-based team at Cirillo Cosmetic Dermatology Spa would be the most suitable choice for your goals.
What Does Belotero® Address?
Hyaluronic acid, the key ingredient in Belotero®, is produced naturally in the skin to help it stay hydrated and supple. Unfortunately, as you age, your skin makes less hyaluronic acid, leading to thinning, sagging and dryness.
Smooth, gel-like facial fillers add volume below the skin in areas where aging or damage to the collagen fibers has caused wrinkles and sunken areas to develop. Belotero® is approved for treating moderate to severe nasolabial folds, which are the "comma" indentations that stretch from the sides of the nose down to the corners of the mouth and look more pronounced when smiling and laughing.
Our injectors use this filler to address wrinkles around the mouth, reduce under-eye hollows, and add subtle volume to the lips. When injected, Belotero blends in naturally, smoothing the unwanted wrinkles and filling volume deficits. Belotero® is formulated with Cohesive Polydensified Matrix® (CPM®) technology. This allows the gel to imitate normal facial tissue in a very natural way, enabling patients to show a full range of facial expressions.
What Are the Different Formulations of Belotero®?
Our Cirillo Cosmetic team offers Belotero® Balance, currently the only FDA approved filler in the collection. We look forward to FDA approval of more fillers in the collection soon.
The Belotero® Experience
Belotero® is injected into the upper layers of the skin. Before making these injections, our team will review detailed pre- and post-filler instructions with you during your initial consultation.
Treatment time varies depending upon the number of areas being treated. We will review post-filler instructions with you after the injection session is completed.
Discomfort is minimal during the treatment. Correction results with Belotero typically last six to nine months. In order to maintain the desired results, maintenance sessions will be required.
Other Anti-Wrinkle Treatment Options
Juvederm®, Restylane®, and the RHA® collection are other hyaluronic acid filler lines that consist of a range of different products with unique applications. For patients who are interested in a longer-lasting solution or treatment for more dramatic volume depletion that causes a loss of facial contours, injectable collagen stimulators like Radiesse® and Sculptra® would be more effective options.
When it comes to improving dynamic wrinkles that are caused by muscle contractions, our team might recommend botulinum toxin-based injectables such as BOTOX®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, or Jeuveau® to relax the facial muscles.
