Nasolabial fillers in the Bryn Mawr area at Cirillo Cosmetic Dermatology Spa including Restylane® Defyne and Refyne, Juvederm® Ultra, Ultra Plus and Vollure™, and RHA® 2, 3, and 4, are injectable hyaluronic acid fillers that treat nasolabial folds and provide a more lifted, youthful appearance. This is a common area for filler treatments, and they can provide a more rejuvenated appearance in a subtle, understated way.

How Can You Benefit from Nasolabial Fillers?
Nasolabial folds, also referred to as smile lines, laugh lines, or parentheses, are indentation lines that extend from both sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. They may be asymmetrical or symmetrical. Everyone has these lines, but they often become more pronounced with age as cheekbones flatten due to bone loss and the skin losing collagen and elastin. Smoking, sun damage, and weight fluctuations can also accentuate nasolabial folds. Smiling can also cause the lines to become more pronounced. When we are young, we might only see smile lines when we are smiling or laughing as they disappear when the face is relaxed. With aging, they become deeper and appear regardless of whether you’re smiling or not.
Nasolabial filler helps to soften the appearance of these lines and enhance facial symmetry. They are often the first recommended treatment for smile lines. We can treat nasolabial folds by injecting filler directly into the folds and by adding filler to the cheeks, which helps to lift these folds. By lifting the cheeks first, less filler is needed in the nasolabial folds. This creates a softer more natural looking result. The most suitable nasolabial filler technique will depend on each person’s individual anatomy and desired aesthetic goals.
Nasolabial fillers plump up the area so that the wrinkles appear smoother but it’s very important to maintain an anatomic distinction between the cheek and mouth areas. If the separation between these areas is completed obliterated with too much filler, an unnatural, simian look appears. Sometimes collagen/elastin stimulators or biostimulatory injections with Radiesse® or Sculptra® may be recommended for deeper wrinkles. Patients can expect minimal side effects, almost instant results, and the option to wear makeup within 24 hours after their nasolabial filler treatment, if desired.
Other Treatments That Complement Nasolabial Fillers
We offer hyaluronic acid fillers including Belotero®, Restylane®, RHA® Revance, and Juvederm® fillers at our practice. There are a variety of face fillers available in addition to nasolabial fillers such as jawline fillers, under eye fillers, cheek fillers, lip fillers, and fillers for marionette lines.
Although you may be looking up, “Fillers Near Me,” “Filling Nasolabial Folds,” “Filling Marionette Lines,” or other facial filler-related keyword phrases, there may also be other types of cosmetic treatments you might benefit from. Unlike dermal fillers, BOTOX® and other wrinkle relaxers target underlying facial muscles to prevent expression wrinkles.
Skin rejuvenation treatments including chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, and lasers not only reduce wrinkles but also address other skin imperfections, enhancing the general tone and texture of the skin. These treatments can also help to improve the appearance of nasolabial folds.
